When you think about Jesus Christ, what comes to mind? A healer? A teacher? Perhaps you picture him alongside the fishermen who became his Apostles. Maybe you see a compassionate face that saw past sin, disease, and shame to connect with the lost and broken. All these perspectives are accurate, but viewing Jesus solely in these ways is like gazing at the surface of an endless ocean. Today, I invite you to explore beneath that surface to discover the deeper reality of the Lord Jesus Christ.
A Mystery Beyond Our Minds, Yet Close to Our Hearts
The truth of Jesus' divine nature is foundational to the Gospel, yet it is also one of the deepest mysteries of faith. The Biblical meaning of divinity is the following: Referring to something that emanates from the divine being, which is God Himself. Jesus is the Son of God holy and without fault. In Jesus' becoming man, God, our creator, steps into creation. Imagine God limiting Himself to flesh and blood. The One who breathed stars into existence choosing to be bound by the breath in His lungs. This defies our human logic, yet it is this very mystery that holds the power to transform lives, including our own.
Jesus' divinity is more than just a set of beliefs. It's not an idea. It is the very heartbeat of our salvation. Without Jesus being fully God there is no bridge between heaven and earth, no true hope of redemption. However, because Jesus is God, He can bear the weight of the world's sins and offer us forgiveness and salvation.

In Jesus All The fullness of God Dwells
Consider what Paul writes in Colossians 2:9: "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form." Every characteristic, every ounce of God's divine nature resides fully in Jesus. In Jesus we encounter God Himself- not a prophet, not an angel, but the very essence of the Almighty. That means when we see Jesus we see the Father. Every word he spoke, every action, and every miracle performed reveal the very character and the heart of God.
When Jesus healed the sick, God's compassion was on full display. When He forgave sins, God's mercy was extended. The depth of God's love for us was poured out for each of us when Jesus took the nails on the cross. His divinity makes His sacrifice infinitely more valuable and capable of redeeming every soul who will turn to Him.

More Than Mere Words- A Call to Personal Relationship
What do you do with this truth? It isn't just a belief to acknowledge- it is an invitation. His divinity calls not to only believe but to know Him. God, the One who holds the universe together calls you to walk with Him daily, to speak with Him, to let Him speak into the hidden places of your life. The God who formed you desires to know you, to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and to transform you from the inside out.
Without a personal relationship with Jesus, sure we can know about His deity, but we will never know Him. His power becomes real in the life of a believer who communicates with Him daily. This is the heart of the Gospel, where the wonder of His power meets our need for salvation and our longing to know God. In Jesus, we find a relationship that fills every void, meets our every need, and sustains us through every trial.

The Call to Salvation
If you have never had a personal relationship with Jesus, let this be your invitation. Jesus is not just a historical figure or a distant God, He is God, He is alive, He is present, and He is calling you. Through His death and resurrection, He offers forgiveness, freedom from sin, and a life transformed by His love. Won't you call upon Him? He is waiting.
If you want to begin that relationship today, it starts with a simple prayer. This is often called the Sinner's Prayer. This is a simple and humble act of turning your heart toward God. Isn't it time you stop running from Him? If you are ready, pray this with sincerity:
"Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that You are God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose again, victorious over death. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I ask You to forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new. I open up my heart to You, and I invite You to be my Lord and Savior. Lead me, guide me, and help me to walk with You every day. Thank You for Your love, for saving me, and for giving me a new life. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Now Walk In Your New Life
If you just prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God! This is only the beginning of a lifelong journey with Him. Begin your relationship with the One who is both fully God and fully man. Get to know Him personally, you will find a life - eternal, abundant, and overflowing.
Let this mystery of Jesus' deity captivate you and draw you closer to Him each day. In Him you will find all that you need and so much more than you ever imagined. Welcome brothers and sisters to the family. What now? You should get a Holy Bible. You can also download an app onto your phone. May I suggest The Blue Letter Bible? I know reading it may seem foreign to you. Just ask The Holy Spirit to allow you to understand what you are reading. Some people like The King James Version, others The New King James Version, and still others prefer The New Living Translation. Whichever you choose may I suggest you start in the New Testament? There you will read about Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. There you will meet Him.
